Dear family and friends,

 

I am so proud to be an American and an Israeli.  This week has been a time of miracles for Israel.  Less than a week before Chanukah is to be celebrated, also known as the "Festival of Miracles", Jerusalem was finally declared the capital of the modern State of Israel.  Mazal tov!   Jerusalem has been the "undivided " eternal capital of Israel and the Jewish people for over 3,000 years.    

 

Although a bi-partisan US Congress enacted the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which provided for the relocation of the US Embassy in Israel to Israel's capital of Jerusalem, for over 20 years not one US President complied with the law to relocate the embassy to Jerusalem.  That delay of 20+ years did nothing to promote peace in the region.  To the contrary, it encouraged the Palestinians to make more and more outrageous demands.

 

Thank you President Trump for having the cojones to stand up for what is legally and morally correct.  He said, "Israel is a sovereign nation, with the right, like every other sovereign nation, to determine its own capital".  In fact, all branches of Israeli government are located in Jerusalem, including Israel's parliament The Knesset, the Supreme Court, and the residences of the Prime Minister and President of Israel, as well as government buildings and ministries. 

It is appropriate that President Trump made his announcement just days before Chanukah.  Like in ancient times when some Jews chose to appease their Greek-Syrian oppressors and assimilate into a secular anti-religious Hellenistic lifestyle rather than fight for their freedoms, there will be those today touting appeasement because the Palestinians have threatened violence.  What else is new?  And like the miracles of Chanukah, it is a miracle that Israel's opposition parties and some of President Trump's greatest foes have joined in praising President Trump  for this momentous announcement.  Perhaps there will be peace after all.

For years the slogan "land for peace" has been nothing other than a form of appeasement to a people who have no intention of making peace with Israel.  Yet despite attempts by many left wing Israeli politicians to appease the Palestinians by complying with most of their demands such as land transfers, unilateral prisoner exchanges, and sometimes perilous security risks, "most" is not enough for them.  The Palestinians want it "all" or they resort to violence.  Appeasement is no solution and only encourages further oppression and violence.  A perfect example was when England's Neville Chamberlain appeased Hitler, yemach shemo, and that led to World War II.   

Seventy years ago when US President Harry Truman was warned not to recognize the modern state of Israel, there were also Arab threats of violence, but he stood up for Israel.  Despite the threatened and actual violence, like the miracles of Chanukah, the State of Israel survived the wars against it.  Israel will survive this too.

Hamas claimed the other day that recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel would lead to an "escalation" of the "Jerusalem intifada".  That in itself is an admission that there is an intifada in existence already.   And Abbas' Fatah recently signed a reconciliation agreement with Hamas.  What other than violence can be expected from a Palestinian culture that glorifies terrorists, pays terrorists and their families to commit terror, teaches their children hatred and violence in schools, summer camps , on TV and in books and magazines, and incites their people to kill and maim innocent Israeli children sleeping in their beds?

Every year at the end of our Passover Seder and at the end of the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, Jews throughout the world say, "Next year in Jerusalem".  That is why it is absurd when Palestinians and the UN claim Jews have no connection to Jerusalem.  In fact, Israel's President Rivlin is a 7th generation Jerusalemite.  Happy Chanukah.

Texas Shooter Gun Purchases

 

Reports indicate this Killer in Texas purchased guns "legally"!  However, looks like his military dishonorable discharge after serving 12 month in military jail should have blocked his access.  A twelve month prison sentence should make him a "felon"  and as such not able to legally buy or possess guns.

 

If this is not the case it should be!

Just Saying Show Us The Money

With all the focus turning on Clinton and the DNC, there should be an IRS audit of the Clinton Foundation.  It is a not for profit foundation almost $150million went in to it.  So that money has to be used for charitable work not pay offs.  The public has right to know it did not miss use those funds. An IRS audit could maybe shed light on the true purpose of the foundation.  "Just Saying"!

After all in Hillary's own words "they left the White House almost dead broak "!  So did they become so wealthy?

Call for Gun Control

 

There has been a strong divide in the US over gun control and every time there is a tragic event like what is unfolding in Las Vegas, those who want to restrict gun ownership step up to the plate.  They don't even wait for the victims to get to the hospital before they jump on the band wagon!  Take Hillary's comment about how bad this would have been if the guns had silencers as an example.  Let me tell you an AR 15 is very laud and a silencer does make it silent!  Then we have those claiming that it is "White males" who are responsible, "luckily most country music fans votes for Trump anyway."  How RACIST is that?  Of course, there are the majority of early callers, who want "gun control"!  What does that mean?  In my opinion that means take guns away from everybody cancel the 2^ND Amendment.  They call for rigorous back ground checks.  How does that prevent these tragic events?  I am not convinced such checks would stop them.  We have seen that in cities like Chicago that have banded gun ownership, that the gun death body count in that city rivals the Las Vegas tragedy on a weekly basis.

 

We currently have laws that restrict the private ownership of true assault weapons like the military's M-16.  An assault weapon is defined as having a switch that allows the user to go from semi-auto fire to full-auto fire.  Currently the adapter for an AR-15 known as a "bump stock" can legally be purchased.  Congress should consider legislation to ban that device as consistent with the current band on private ownership of assault weapons.

 

The real issue we face is how to stop these tragic events.  Better gun laws will not solve that problem.  The London tragedy did not involve guns, but targeted people attending a large public event using a bomb.  The London subway bomb could have been bigger than the Las Vegas shooting had the bomb not been a dud.  So as you hear the various calls for gun control measures, ask yourselves "How will this keep mass killers from being successful."  So far what we are hearing from Las Vegas is that all the weapons and ammo were legally purchased.  How would new "gun control laws" change that situation?

 

Bottom line we need to wait and see all the Las Vegas evidence about what happened and why it happened.  We know he had many weapons in his room, but we don't know how many were actually used.  Luckily, he killed himself so we don't have to wait for a trial for the truth to be told. 

 

PS: he also had the ability to make bombs and could have easily used those as his weapon and set it off in the garage of the hotel.  Please keep in mind here that the guns did not kill these people a person did.

 

 

 

Border Security

 

President Trump was elected to solve our Economic problems, by creating jobs, and securing our borders.  I understand the concerns for the many here illegally for "years" justice and equity needs to be addressed.  But we need to secure the borders and establish first policies for the future!  We can sit and debate the need for a wall but I would suggest we look closely at what has been taking place in Europe.  Hordes of displaced people are flooding into Europe, they bring their own ideas about civilization and religion and appear to have no intention to assimilate into the existing culture.  I don't think that is what most Americans want, after all most of us are ourselves one or two generations away from "new arrival status"!  Our families have adopted the American system and culture.  We have of course introduced what was good about our homelands and this can be seen in the large variety of foods we now enjoy among other things.

If we assume that the past twenty years or so that there has not been a policy in our country as to what we want to see in those who want to come here, that should change.  POTUS has suggested a frame work for choosing who we want to settle in our country.  If this needs to be debated that is a great American tradition and we should get to work on that ASAP.  Meanwhile, we must secure the borders.  What is taking place in South America only reinforces my position.  Government instability leads to revolts and mass displacement of people, as we are now witness to in the near east and the flooding of Europe with these displaced people.  A much better solution would and should be to shelter "in place" until hostilities end then repatriate, but then many in Europe felt guilty somehow for the problem.

In Venezuela the alarm is being sounded.  Are we ready?  No!!!

 

 

 

Remember the "Bulls Eye" Target?

 

I can't help but remind us all that the liberals were all over Sara Palin when she used a bulls eye target in her political campaign as a GOP VP candidate. Words like hate, fear mongering and encouraging violent action were the go to claims.  It got so bad that Palin had to withdraw the bulls eye after trying to demonstrate that it was a common practices to set ones eyes on the "TARGET" or goal.  In her case winning an election.

Fast forward to 2017!  Now it is perfectly ok with the left to use words like Resist, take the battle to the streets, call out for the President to be Impeached before he even took office, "not my President".  Even Loretta Lynch used the term that some "must shed blood" in the liberal fight to, as she said take back the country.  The words and actions of the liberal left have worked to weaken our country.  If Russia really was trying to impact the election process they must be laughing their heads off right now as were tear ourselves apart from within.  Wait a minute that reminds me, that is exactly what the Russians predicted would happen!  We would destroy ourselves from within!

The liberals (notice I am not using democrats) controlled our government in 2008 and reminded us all to shut up and sit down because they were in charge now.  Well that is how we got the Affordable Care Act, a bill that nobody read that is now in total self destruction.  I bring this up because our government works best when all political views participate in the creation of our laws.  For one political party to abdicate their responsibility and use inflammatory rhetoric that borders on advocating violence is UNAMERICAN.  This behavior has now led to states like California and New York acting like they are not a part of the United States.

How can we be expected to support political candidates when they place their political party before the people.  Having lost an election I truly believed that the loosing party would pick up their marbles and go back home and review why they failed to win the hearts and minds of the nation. (Don't remind me they got more votes than Trump, in California, more counties voted for Trump, but that is not our system.) Can you visualize what would have happened in 2008 if the same actions we see now took place?  Think about it!

The anger and disruptive rhetoric must stop or it will breed more violence. We need to be open to discuss issues that the people want solved, Health care, Jobs and the Economy, Balanced Budget, these are real issues that need American Leadership to solve.  I am reminded that we all must be part of the solution, "so lead, follow or get out of the way"! This obstruction of our government has to stop.  

 

 

Liberals need to stop

Attention liberal and democrats it is time stop bashing our President. Thinking back over the previous administration I can't recall any where close to the constant negativity.  

Now if you want be the loyal opposition and present a platform to address the many issues that keep our country from being great again that would be great!  

As of now all I see of your platform is RESIST. Wake up that is not good for the country and will not win elections either as we are now seeing is special elections. 

Liberal/democrats you are now the party of NO!  That is not good for the country. 

FB Unfriend-ing

Recently I commented on a FB Friends post about the fact that POTUS is not barred from sharing Classified Intel.  He is the highest authority in the land and thus can "declassify" intel anytime he chooses. 

Well all of a sudden I am now the center of every post this person makes to express resistance of POTUS!  Overnight I am now the villain because I don't buy into their hateful message!

So VW I have unfriended you!  Life is just too short to buy into your hate!

 

 

 

 

 

My view of President Trump's first hundred day

 

My view of President Trump's first hundred days is tempered by the forces of the Resist Movement.  Usually, the President is given a honeymoon period to get staff and appointees in place.  The Resist movement has hindered (a kind way to say  it) the President in getting his people in place. The Resist Movement in Congress has simply turned their backs on the President, offering no participation in directing legislation on ACA Replacement, budget, tax overhaul, even immigration. 

 

Over the years the Federal government (via the Executive Branch) forced states with threats of withholding funds, to reduce speed limits to 55MPH, schools to adopt NCLB, and on many other issues.  Now Trumps threatens to withhold grants and the liberals Resist movement uses a liberal judge to block such actions.  This is very dangerous because the Judicial Branch is not elected! 

 

For years the liberals have fostered a we don't care about illegal immigrations,  they have had years to propose legislation to reform the current codes on immigration they failed to do so.  President Trump is simply enforcing the existing laws!  When I became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles County I took an oath to uphold the Constitution and Laws of the United State and the Constitution laws of California.  Not sure how California can be a Sanctuary State and defy the Federal immigration laws, let alone have a California liberal judge block the federal government from with holding grand funds and thus support the illegal actions of the State, after all everyone of those elected office holders and even the appointed ones took the same oath!

 

I think President Trump is on a good path and if it takes longer to get some where maybe that is good too. 

 

 

 

Say It is Not So democrats want to hold seniors hostage!

 

That is right!  Watch as the democrats try to hold Social Security and Medicare payments hostage if Republicans don't continue Obamacare payments that end this year ( most of the cost of those payments were made with the money the democrats took from the Medicare Fund).  It will happen as the "continuing resolution" on the budget is debated right after the current congressional recess ends.  The democratic party of the "people" is going to consider those on Medicare and Social Security the same as welfare participants.  I don't know about the rest of the hard working folks who struggled all their adult lives and paid into SS and Medicare out of every paycheck getting put in the same box as those who have never work for a living (of course I exclude those who physically can't work)!  I will be mad as hell if they hold up my check.

If the liberals were upset with Trump's win wait until they we what happens in 2018 if they mess with our checks and medical insurance (little as they are)!

Don't be miss led by the media accounts that say Trump is not getting the job done!  They are FAKE NEWS just like the democratic party!

Are you kidding me? The Kali-fornia Legislature is considering a Bill AB450

 

AB 450 would require business owners to notify works of any pending raid by ICE!  Wow, forcing businesses to be complicit with the State in violating Federal Laws.  I hope the Federal Government forces the issue right here in Kali-fornia and hold state officials to answer for violating federal laws!

 

 

 

President Trump and the Republican House will not be blamed for the coming ACA (aka Obama Care) failure

The liberal democrats will not be able to blame Republicans for the ACA failure which will happen this year as insurance companies pull out and government subsidies disappeared.  Many ACA card holders will go in for medical services and find no one will accept their card as payment!  The idea of the liberals to "resist" has doomed many of the poorest of Americans to find they have no medical coverages!

Too bad the liberals/democRats could have been part of real solution for all Americans!

Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obama Care) has never really worked!

 

 

I remember when the ACA first went into effect, there was a sign in my doctors office that said they do not accept "Blue Cross Insurance".  I was in total panic because I had Blue Cross Insurance as secondary to my Medicare.  I asked the receptionist for an explanation.  She said the sign pertained ACA Blue Cross Plans.  So even back in 2010-12 people had a health care ACA plan but could not get CARE. 

 

The Medicare fund was "robbed" to provide funding for the ACA to the point that now it is next to impossible for those on Medicare to get reasonably priced secondary coverage.  In fact in my area there are no HMO Plans available to us on Medicare.  Clearly the ACA has failed many Americans and should be repealed.  It should be replaced with a system that is self supporting and not an unfunded mandate.

 

What we should all want to know about the Affordable Care Act

 

As you read this blog our Congress is reading the Republican Plan to "Repeal and Replace" Obama Care.  There are some facts we need before we let our voices be heard on the subject.  I understand that in the beginning funding was stripped from Medicare and that is causing great concern for those of us who depend on Medicare.  We are hearing that in many places ACA coverage is down to one plan option.

 

So my question is simple:  If Obama Care (ACA) is not repealed how will it be funded going forward?  The ACA created an "unfunded" entitlement based on the great idea of providing health care for all. When you get down to who is going to pay maybe we can peal some of the politics away and have a real debate on the issue.  I know that health care coverage for large groups like teaches can run $10K per year per family.  You can do the math 20,000 people without coverage times $10K per year.

 

Three years ago I was able to get an HMO Plan at no cost above my Part B cost.  It even included a drug coverage plan. Cost went to $20.00 per moth the next year and this year there are no HMO Plans available to me.  I was forced to purchase a Secondary Play F that is several hundred dollars a month or a "HIGH" deductible plan.  I can only concluded this has occurred because of the ACA drain on Medicare funds.  So again I ask who is going to be paying!  

 

The left and make all the claims they want about keeping the ACA, but they will not tell you who is going to pay!

 

 

Not sure what to make of March 4 Trump rallies

 

 

 

The news and FB are full of stories showing Pro-Trump supporters being attacked as the peacefully exercised their First Amendment rights.  WOW!  After watching numerous rallies and marches against Trump that were no attacked by Trump followers we see the true colors of the left.  Violence, Disruption, Shout downs seem to be the mantra of the liberal left.  Angry disruptive behavior at Republican Town hall meetings, organized and vocal as prepared questions that have to be read then shout down the response.

You have to ask: "What is going on?" The March 4 Trump agenda was not violent but peaceful exercise of First Amendment Rights and to express support for President Donald Trump. It appears the goal was to show that support and to encourage the Trump administration that the people have their back.  The Liberal Left could not leave them alone.  The most terrifying visual this morning was the video of a gray haired man (possibly my age) lying on the ground his face covered with blood.   Are we witnessing the destruction of our Republic? The anger of the Liberal Left is occupying all forms of our media.  It is causing the wheels of our government to grind to a stop.  Maybe that is the purpose here!  Conservatives always allow for public discussion and debate on issues, but at the end of the day a vote is taken and we move on.

Our Republic has a very simple way of making the voices of each state equally heard when we elect a president!  That has occurred and while Trump did not get the majority vote of the people he did win the all important electoral college vote.  Even Trump said: "if the popular vote was what was needed he would have run a different campaign".

I have always been in awe of our countries "bloodless" revolution that occurs every four years.  It is what makes our country great, but somehow the liberal left will not accept that view, they don't what to be "the loyal opposition".  Their mantra now is "RESIST".

After the 2008 election conservatives not happy with the results began a movement called the TEA PARTY".  They took their cause to the ballet box and won the right to participate in the congress and in many state governments as well.  That is the correct way to react to a ballet box defeat.  The Resist movement calls for disruption, disruption and disruption. 

Recently my son-in-law who is not a Trump supporter, said he is fearful of our country's future.  Wow, I have never felt until now that we needed to fear our destruction might be self inflicted!  I told him he should just keep the faith.  Now that we are witnessing the constant attacks on our system of government I am also concerned about our future.  The fight between the left and the right has been fought in many countries during the last century, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, China just to name a few.  I would suggest we all take a step back and ask if those are places we would want to live.

Never ever mix official business using your personal e-mail account a wise man told me!

Years ago as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff I was given an e-mail account for the Sheriffs Department it was suggested to me that I use only that account for contact purposes with other members of the Sheriff's Department.  The worry was not so much about hacking but about legal issues. If a situation were to occur in which I be came a defendant in a lawsuit, my Department e-mail account would be open for discovery and if my "private" e-mail account showed up in that department account, then it to would be fair game for review. 

 

All of a sudden  ALL my private business, my private life would be "public"!

 

I got the same advice when I was elected to public office.

 

In those days we did not have all the electronic devices we have now.  An iPhone can contain several email accounts and I can see how easy it could be (just look at Hillary) for one to just MIX these in the course of the day.

 

All should be warned by what is going on in Washington to keep personal business separate from public business on your electronic devices.

 

By the way has anyone noticed that is you research an item you are interested in purchasing via the web, that all of a sudden the POP UP Ads on your computer contain ads for the item you just looked at.  WOW! Have we all been hacked?

 

 

President Trump steals the thunder of the Liberals in a One Hour Speech to Congress and the American People!

 

I hope you all watched and paid attention as our President outlined his Plan to "Make America Great Again"!

 

Just in case some of you were not paying attention he told us he is working with the Canadian Prime Minister to insure WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES GET AN EVEN BREAK! WOW…  Then he went on to say he supports  PAID FAMILY LEAVE and WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE!  President Trump just stole the liberal agenda on women's issues and made them AMERICAN ISSUES!!!!

 

On emigration President Trump asked Congress to work on a Bipartisan Emigration Bill.  No more screwing around, Congress needs to fix it and President Trump made some suggestions on how to focus on those how can support themselves.  He also said he will continue deportations.

 

Now he did move away from the Liberal Idea of creating a society of generational welfare dependents (I think President Johnson called it the Great Society). He suggested some sort of voucher system for low income minority families to allow parents to have SCHOOL CHOICES, PUBLIC, PRIVATE, CHARTER AND Parochial.  From my point of view if you take away the restrictions on public schools so all can compete on an equal basis, the best schools will rise to the top and bad ones will close.  Even if just the Federal monies were granted to parents as vouchers that would be a healthy move.  I am sure some of my teacher FB pals will be mad about this, but I know education must change to meet the needs of our students to be able to compete.  When we promote PHROCIAL  kids from the eight grade who can't read or write after eight years of public instruction we have failed.   When I served on the High School Board I was asked how I would feel when some parent or former student sued us because we did not do our job?

 

The President talked about rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure.  Have you taken a road trip lately?  How about the Orville Spillway? All this rain in California and no place to store it!  Lots of jobs there!!!!

 

Making American companies competitive, How is that a partisan issue?  It is about creating American Jobs!  President Trump appointed a Cabinet that knows how to get the best deals.  I can't wait to hear more about this issue.

 

President Trump wants the ACA (aka Obama Care) repealed and replaced!  He gave some ideas that need to be part of the new plan.  Parent to be able to insure kids until 26, protection and coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, increased completion by allowing us to purchase across state lines, focusing on the patient/doctor relationship for decision making (instead of some bean counter making them for us).  Also allowing people to decided the kind of coverage they want. 

The main thing wrong with the ACA is it was not a bi-partisan plan and has flaws.  Ok, Nancy you passed it and we all read it and it needs an overhaul.  We heard in the Democratic response from the former governor of Kentucky that over 500,000 folks have gotten health care under the ACA.  But prior to that President Trump told us the current governor of Kentucky told him the system was falling apart and in many counties of the state only one plan was available.  The federal support for low income premiums is about to end and then what.  It the Congressional Democrats don't participate in creating a working replacement for the ACA, the failure will be all on them.

 

President Trump spoke about "Peace through Strength" when he spoke about rebuilding our military, he spoke about our allies paying their fair share of joint military defense plans like NATO and that many countries are stepping up.

 

Yes if I was a liberal democrat I would be worried that "Resistance" will not work.  Resistance from my view is self defeating.

Protesting 101

One of our fundamental rights granted by our Constitution is the Right of Free Speech! This right is often taken for granted, but never the less is what makes the United States a free nation. As a youngster I was taught that our personal freedom extended out from our person as far as you can reach with your arms or until your hands reached someone else.  So when I see protests taking place I measure the validity of the protest by the extent of the interference with others.  Blocking doorways, sidewalks and roadways are not protected rights of free speech if non-participants can not freely pass.  When protesting results in violence and injury to others or property damage crimes have occurred and the police should make arrests.  Those who cause injury, property damage or block others from passing should be charged with crimes and prosecuted!  I understand in DC such individuals can be charged with a felony!

The election last November has resulted in many protests some peaceful others violent and destructive.  We should be hearing from the media about the charges made against those that have been arrested and the outcome of those court cases.  Such information can be informative to those who may wish to protest in the future.

Of particular concern to me are the rash of protests aimed at our elected officials particularly at their places of residence.  Such actions are not typically permitted and arrests should be made.  These kinds of protest are intimidating at least and make citizens thing strongly about not participating in the election process.  They strike fear in the hearts and minds of the family members of our elected leaders.  We saw this kind of terror during the Vietnam War when the enemy would take over villages and kill tribal leaders, teachers and elected officials.  Isis is doing the same thing today in the middle east.  A free society requires that elected leaders be respected even when we don't agree with them.

Another form of protest which should not be allowed started on our college campuses.  These institutions are supposed to be places for the free exchange of ideas, yet time and again the liberal agenda has been to protest and block access to anyone they think differs from their position.  How does this activity protect free speech?  Recently paid protesters at UCB blocked free speech and cause major property damage.  As I watched this unfold on TV it was obvious these protesters were paid professionally trained and armed with clubs, shields, face masks, black uniforms and bottle rockets.  They were not "peacefully protesting"!

I see the DNC is meeting to pick new leadership and establish a platform that they believe might win in the 2018/2020 elections.  I am hopeful that they will condemn violent protests and particularly protests at the homes of our elected leaders.  I am hopeful they will direct their elected leaders to participate in the legislative process not refuse to do their JOBS!  We will see the best of our elected leaders in legislation that is "bi-partisan"!  We will see the best results is all elected legislators participate.

Fake News Really?

Just read that a Federal Judge found CNN guilty of a Fake News story about a hospital in Florida!  So it is fair to say based on that case, CNN is a breeder of Fake News as President Trump said in his recent press conference.  President Trump said it is not just fake news it is the TUNE of the media.  I have always believed the a good news story should not reveal the political view point of the stories author.  News needs to be accurate and fair!  View points should be in the editorial section. 

 

Remember when the nightly news on TV would end with an editorial view point that generally was not reflected in the reported news but commented on it?    

 

Funniest thing I have heard about the press conference is that it was a "hurriedly called" press conference.  I guess some want to continue the idea of the CHAOS in the Trump Administration, seems to me they are as Trump says a finely tune machine.  The Acosta nomination was made quickly after the President became aware the Senate would most likely not confirm and his candidate withdrew.  Sounds like Mr. Trump's team is on top of things.  Interesting the  President's News Conference called because he wanted to announce his new candidate for Sec. of Labor, Acosta, but not one question from the press about Acosta

 

I liked President Trump saying that the country was already divided when he became president and his desire is to be president for ALL Americans.

Trump speaks to the USA (us)

Just finished watching President Trump hold a single handed news conference.  Wow!  Can't wait to see the "Fake News" reports to compare to what I viewed first hand.

 

Just for prospective, back in High School I worked on the school newspaper.  As I look back it was an awesome experience that has given me a grounding as to what real news is all about.  A newspaper has several section, usually the news, sports, family and advertising sections along with the Editorial Section which includes viewpoints, letters to the editor and opinions on news or events. Components of the editorial section do not constitute news stories as found in the first section which contains the news.

Clearly advertisers have over the years put their stamp on the editorial section and even may have impacted what stories were reported as news.  That was never a problem with the High School paper which like most was somewhat censored to protect the "image" of the school. As television evolved we got the "nightly news" which generally followed the same format at the newspaper.

 

Fast forward we now have instant news on our electronic devises, cable news and the printed news is loosing ground.  All now compete for the readership or viewership (aka) ratings.  Editorial comment has jumped to the news section to further speed things up and what we see is colored by the ideology of the left or the right.  Really the only way to have any idea of what is happening you have to watch multiple outlets then form your own opinion.

 

Enter FAKE NEWS!  Story after story takes an editorial theme and only those parts which fit the editorial view make it into the story.  Cable news reports "White House" in total upheaval over Flynn firing.  Really?  The guy does his job (many including the President say so) that did not get him fired, no "misleading the Vice President" did.  I would have been truly upset to hear the President did not let Flynn go, Potus must have complete faith in the people who work for him to be truthful.

President Trump has called out the fake news outlets, they can dig their heals in (I feel they surely will) or they can evaluate what they are doing and separate news from editorials (which they will not do).

 

For the first time we have someone who had to work for a living, not just be a community organizer or holder of public office.  Mr. Trump wants to be successful and that worries the liberals in our country that are more interested in controlling our lives.  What ever your political leanings might be, we owe our President our support. Hold him to his word and promises (we can only do that if we don't block his administration).  If we is wrong for the country then as citizens of a free Republic we can exercise our rights and vote him out of office. 

 

To those who participate in the Democratic Parties "Resistance" movement I say be careful you don't find yourselves on the wrong side in the next election.  It is my opinion that most Americans are fare minded people how really want our government to work if you are viewed as in the way of that goal, they will vote you out.

Give me a break!

The Resistance aka liberal democrats want an investigation of Trump team involvement with the Russians prior to taking over the White House. But they want the Attorney General to step aside, wow where were they when Hillary was being investigated.

Real problem right now is plugging the leaks!  How about treason charges if you leak confidential or secret information without administratively approval.  It is one thing to be a whistle blower and another to be motivated to disrupt and or destroy our government as is currently taking place.

Don't forget Obama on an open mic told Putin he would be in a better place to negotiate after the election.  Sure sounded to me like an invitation to assist in the Obama reelection campaign in 2012!
